Grand Research & Strategic Roadmap

All research and community engagement efforts at UPPM are anchored by a grand strategic roadmap: “Strategies and Technologies in Enhancing Professional Health Services towards an Independent Society.” From this overarching theme, the unit focuses on four strategic issues:

Maternal and Child Health. Advancing well-being and health outcomes for mothers and children.
Public Health Quality. Elevating the standard of health within the general population.
Disease Management & Traditional Medicine. Exploring diseases, health technologies, and traditional medicinal practices for individuals, families, and communities.
Medical-Surgical Nursing. Providing preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services in medical-surgical nursing cases.

Strategic Implementation

To successfully reach these goals and objectives, the institution has systematically formulated research and community service programs, complete with a comprehensive roadmap and specific focus topics. The selection of these research and community service activities is rigorously based on a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis, carefully taking into account our internal capabilities and prevailing external conditions.
